Basically polymerclays has a short lifespan,it is easy to break and not durable.
Clay material will dry out in about a year and will eventually crack .
On the production side, it is hard to match the color of skin, hair and eyes where painting on polyresin figurine can avoid such problems.
Polyresin is the industry standard when it comes to producing figurines/statues while Clay is a cheaper substitution.
The likeness of the face can only reached at 60% with clay while almost at 80% with polyresin.
This is a main reason why polyresin is well accepted by the industry.
